New technology for guitar finish

Never done it, but after watching this video I had to share it with the rest of you.
Video:
youtube.com/watch?v=IPM8OR6W6WE
or
youtube.com/watch?v=IfUaKXasdD4
(can't get the links to work, just search "ultra ever dry" on youtube and click on the first or second video)

So it's supposedly a superhydrophobic (water) and oleophobic (hydrocarbons) coating, and it came to my head that applied on the neck of a guitar you would get a neck that wouldn't get sticky, smudged or dirty!
Or in the whole guitar, if sealed, you could give it a bath?
This comes from someone who has never built or finished anything so I'm hoping someone more experienced may comment on this.
Any opinions?

.. I guess it would be too aggressive for rosewood/ebony fretboard, right? That wood is usually non-sealed and needs oil treatment from time to time to stay in good shape..

Don't know if and how it would affect the body and the neck, though

Such things have been tried before. The only woods it really works well on are woods like rock maple and alder. It also does nothing to protect the wood from heat and humidity, only direct moisture. It's essentially useless.

I tought it would just dry any freatboard, making it start to crack or something.
What i was thinking is that on the back of the neck, where a few guitars get sticky after played for a while, this coild help, because oil or sweat from hands/fingers wouldn't stick to it.
