Which one of these do people think is the better shredder guitar?

Depends on what you prefer.

For the same amount of money as the RG1XXV, you can buy a Pro Series Soloist. Which is what I would get.

All comes down to preference.

For example, I'm pretty much a Jackson fanboy, but I don't particularly care for Ibanez guitars, so my opinion will be biased.

Bottom line? Go try both out, if at all possible.

For the price of a new RG1XXV, you could easily get a mint used Prestige. Hell, if you don't mind a few chips in the paint, you might be able to get *2* of them.
