When Sri Lankans learn to stop fighting amongst themselves they will get a decent postal service from the rest of the world. Time to grow up Sri Lanka, it's your choice.

Gentlemen, I bought myself a Guild GAD D-125. It is an all solid wood mahogany. Currently on its way to me, cant wait to play it.

I hope it is not a mistake. Anyways Thank you so very much for all the good thoughts shared. Really appreciate all that.

All the best to you all good people.

No. It was 499$. I just didn't want to take chances with a 200-300. So once and for all I put in a another 200 and went for the guild. I'm broke big time now but hey it is all for good cause.

good choice. not really a martin tone - guilds have their own sound, and it's a good one, not too bright, full, nice.

Washburn has a little parlor with a solid top it's a little higher than $200, more like $350, but I've played Taks that sounded better, what about an older Alvarez? some of them have pretty sweet sound. The problem with the cheaper guitars is not that they all sound cheap, it's just that you have to really play them first, some sing and some are dead.
