Sounds really good! Love the road-worn strat! Can't really think of anything you need to work on with that...everything sounded spot on. Well done!

Loving the tone you have man, nice, clean, and crisp, and it's complimented by some good playing as well. I'll have to check out more of the stuff on your channel, keep it up man. Quick question though, what video editing software do you use to get the multiple panels of video?

i use a few programs to record.

1st. Microsoft lifecam HD.
This shoots my video and audio at the same time. I use a Y cable with my mp3 player to have the track in the background and in my head phones. I use this on every take.

2. VideoPad.
i import my two video's unlink the audio. Then save as new files. then close out and discard everything but the audio files i created and the original video files with audio.

3. Reaper.
In reaper I sync my tracks to the backing track, and add some eq (just something to optimize the sound) I then export this to mp3 format. ADJUST VOLUMES SO THEY MATCH UP HERE.

4. Back to VideoPad.
Now I load up both videos, and the audio. I sync the audio with the videos one at a time. To do this you have to used the movement effect.

The MOVEMENT EFFECT. Allows you to resize the videos. on one screen. So I make one super tiny and sync the big one, then switch them around and sync the other. then pic where and how big you want them to be. (uses x/y/a/b sliders, and a scale (resize) slider)

Really awesome cover! I always have liked this song, so I'm glad to hear you do it justice. Your playing is clean and the tone is great. Your video editing could use some work (and by that, I mean possibly zooming in on your smaller screen to make it a little bit bigger, makes it easier to see), but all that will come in time! But it's overall quite good, and it's no doubt your best video yet, in my opinion!

OK First I use Reaper and Video pad too so that's pretty cool there!

Your sound is awesome, the cleans are very crisp as someone else mentioned, your overdriven tone is also very nice, are you using the bridge and middle pick up for the leads?

What amp is that?

Awesome Bad Co Record on the wall, and lol on the photo bomb from your daughter that is awesome, I too was photo bombed by my son, but it is crazy funny cause he is naked and is shaking his ass in the video. I'll post here just for the laughs.

I've never heard this song but it rocks and your cover is good. Also nice strat!

Thanks for critiquing my cover of periphery!

I may not be a fan of country, but that tone sounds solid. And obviously so is the playing. I really can't say anything bad about it man. Maybe get a camera that is a little more responsive? That's the only thing I saw that was negative. Otherwise keep it up! (lol at the random person coming in to the camera shot)

Nice tone. The distorted guitar is a little overpowering right when you come in, but other than that everything sounds tight.

Nice job on the solo too. I had to listen to the original to remember if there was a solo at the end. :lol Your's fit in nicely.

Thanks. The distortion does dominate when its muted in this song. Just something that happens.

I ****ing love this song. Finally, another guy on UG doing country covers!
your guitar sounds excellent. like, really, really good. I'm sure you knew that. The playing is spot on as well. The video editing was pretty good too, though I wish it was in color so I could drool over that strat some more...I left a comment on youtube and a like as well.
check our stuff out! it's a bit more contemporary but country is country. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/foru...62#post31639462
