Saddest Deaths in Music?

There have been some sad, devastating, and tragic deaths in the history of music. There have also been concert mishaps which have harmed bands and fans. What was the saddest in your opinion?

I've got a few: Tupac, John Lennon, Dimebag Darrell, Hendrix, and Jim Morrison.

The saddest part is Chuck Schuldiner isn't on any of your lists.

Many sad deaths, but the worst for me always, always will be Hendrix. Given the astonishing work he produced over just a few years, it hurts to think of what he may have come up with if he'd lived a long and healthy life.

Cliff Burton. Why did he have to take the top bunk? Why couldn't it be Lars Ulrich?

God, shut the hell up.

I'm glad you mentioned Schuldiner because his death was tragic but you're a giant cunt.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Cliff Burton would have to be the worst deaths in music for me. Just imagine seeing SRV live in person, soulfully shredding out of his mind; or Metallica with an extra 27 years of Burton's' genius.

All of the above + Jeff Hanneman. His death wasn't sudden, but it definitely was a sad chain of events.

Bon Scott is another I almost forgot about.

I remember when Back in Black came out, we thought great record, crappy singer, but in retrospect, great record

You could replace "guitarists" with absolutely anything and it'd still fit.
