Need new bands to listen to (Metal, blues and hard rock)

I'm inevitably getting bored of my music and need something new to listen to. I'll break down my tastes into categories:

Metal
-Sylosis
-Killswitch Engage
-Periphery
-Trivium
-Disturbed
Note: in particular, I also would like recomendations of bands that do 5/4 time and Djenty stuff like that is cool.

Rock:
-Volbeat
-Big Wreck/ Thornley
-Audioslave
-Rage Against the Machine
-The Tea Party
I like originality.

Blues
-George Thorogood
(This is where i fall short I need more here. I REALLY like slide blues.

Did you try Iced Earth for metal? Stormtroopers of Death if you don't want to take yourself too seriously.
Chris Duarte for some good texas blues, "Texas Sugar Strat Magic" to be specific.
Foo Fighters is a no brainer if you like rock.

If you like growls, you might try some more recent Obscura.

he says as he lists some very unoriginal bands.

Metal/core
Meshuggah*
Car Bomb*
Psyopus
The Agonist*
The Red Shore*
Boris
Judd Madden
Cloudkicker*
Serious Beak
Zu
Celtic Frost*

Rock
Monster Magnet*
Clutch*
Neu
Master Musicians Of Bukkake
BATS
Digression Assassins

Blues*
Blind Willie McTell
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Hokie Joint
The Ford Blues Band
Blind Lemon Jefferson
Bill Orcutt - Way Down South

Some of this will be nothing like what you're looking for, but hopefully it'll help broaden your horizons. Once most relevant to your tastes are marked with an asterisk.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned him yet, but Derek Trucks is an incredible blues slide guitarist.

QOTSA, i really do like. I already knew them though. STP are also a favourite of mine. I could never really get an interest for Stevie, Eric Claptop I should look more into. I also Liked Perfect Circle. Very nice list. Them Crooked Vultures are very good, my band friend likes them alot.

Iced Earth sounded SICK!!! I never heard of them before! Foo Fighters ofcourse, but they're overplayed here. Chris Duarte is really nice, but not really into it.

I loved Obscura, I liked it from the first few seconds of Septuagint

SISO, I like Rory Gallager Very cool stuff.
JoryL, Electric Wizard sound good, but I'm in between if I'll like listening to it and it not being good enough. I've never really liked the Stoner genre of anything that much. Maybe it has to grow on me.
Kratos, I loved Ne, Testament AND Mastodon!!! Muddy Waters sounded pretty badass andI also loved Elmore James. Awesome stuff

How about a little Testament, anything by Death Angel - Rob Cavestany is totally underrated, Exodus - Gary Holt is a riff monster

Sounds like you haven't listened to much of the 80's classic metal, that would be a good place to start:
Metallica
Megadeth
Anthrax
Slayer
Iron Maiden
Testament
Exodus
Dio

Also Judas Priest and Black Sabbath are kinda the overlords of metal (the Metal Gods as Rob Halford would say), check them out as well.

Some hard rock that also incorporates strong blues influences would be:
Guns n' Roses
Aerosmith
AC DC
Led Zeppelin
I also recommend looking up the ex GnR members solo work, Slash's in particular. It's all very good and pretty unique as well.

In terms of blues, look up Stevie Ray Vaughan (his live videos are just stunning) Eric Clapton, Howlin Wolf, Albert King, and the slide guitar master Elmore James.

All those bands except Exodus I've heard of since that's mainstream here in Canada. Because all those rock bands are on the radio they're overplayed for me so i don't take much interest in any even though I like them. Elmore James and Testament has been taken care of.

Dirty electric slide blues - looks like it blocked my links so you'll have to google them yourself:

Left Lane Cruiser
Hillstomp
Hound Dog Taylor
