Putting a pedal as an inbuilt guitar effect?

Thinking of putting this in one of my guitars

http://www.mooeraudio.com/en/ProductInfo.asp?id=47

Was just going to cut holes out for the knobs, removing the casing to get access to the circuit board and then wire it up to the guitar. Anyone done something like this before?

Is it something that can work?

Look at the MOD boards at www.guitarfetish.com

These are designed to be put in a guitar and typically do not require anything to be altered in your guitar (unless you want to go with extra controls some of them support)

I've heard mixed reviews about the modboards though, and I havent seen any youtube demos of the tremolo or chorus modboards either. I'd rather see what they can do before I invest

Yeah, I have no experience with them at all. I just knew about them so I figured I'd share if you were unfamiliar.

What you want to do can be done, it will just take more planning and work

You might be able to get Toyroom FX to make you a pedal without the enclosure to use. The guy who runs it is a member here and he is in Australia
