Running Preamp into recording device?

I have an ENGL 530 tube pre amp, and I see it has a line out. Would it be safe to run from the Freq comp line out to my M-audio fast track pro? It sounds like it via this manual. I would just run a 1/4 line from this out to the in of my usb interface?

Yes.

You'll have to run an impulse response in your DAW to simulate a speaker cabinet, otherwise it'll just sound like a fizzy mess, though.

It doesn't have to be an impulse response, but that's pretty much it.

Also, make sure you have the input set on "line".
