Sinking Ships (Interlude) C4C

Hey, I just finished recording a rough version of a new piece called Sinking Ships and I would love some feedback

Feel free to review this or any of the songs on my soundcloud, I'll return the favour

I don't really know what to say dude. I got chills.
That was f*cking great. I closed my eyes and I pictured a horrific movie scene. This could be a soundtrack to some depressing hollywood movie not kidding.
Keep up your work! I'm sure you will get far!

love it so far.

i find the oscillating string-like synth a little distracting because of its sharp tone (sort of took away from the dreamy effect), but otherwise it was effective. if it was my song i'd try adding some medium reverb to soften it.

great piece! the imagery it made me see was strong.

Very nice man, do you compose for games or anything like that? You could easily find some work with indie developers being able to create atmosphere like that.

Damn, the way it starts to modulate at 1:28 is just brilliant. It caught me off guard but it totally works! It feels like it's descending into some eventual doom. I really love this, I'll check out more of your work. I quite like the high oscillating effect or whatever it is, it adds some texture and fills out the space a bit more.

What synths/plugins were you using? Especially the piano sound.

Mind checking out this thing I did? My first attempt at anything electronic.

Thanks for the feedback guys

I usually compose solo piano pieces, but I've been experimenting with some more ambient stuff lately. I like your idea of composing for video games, I'm actually studying software engineering so it's right up my alley.

For the piano I use Native Instrument's Akoustik Piano, synths are NI's Massive and strings are EWQLSO.

Day1,
This would be good movie background music. Sounds very good! Please review my music (the song on top has "piano") at this link:
