Get started learning by ear

Hi there,

I am wanting to practice another skill which is learning stuff by ear. I don't really know where to start though. Could you tell me what were some of the first songs you ever played by ear?

go learn some Ear Training

Basic Intervals
Basic Triads
Basic Seventh Chords

Do that for a month or two until everything is really easy for you to hear, then transcribe some mary had a little lamb, happy birthday, jingles and crap like that. Then work your way up to harder and harder stuff.

The key is to start small.

Also, make sure you know all that stuff on the guitar as well ie how to play your scales intervals etc.

But hey, at least you have a 10% chance of absolutely guaranteeing failure.
