What do you think of my voice???

Hello...

Would anybody be kind enough to give me their opinion on my singing?

I'd really appreciate it!

It's decent as far as it goes. You're on pitch.

The problem is that the affect you're singing with, I suspect, is compensating for some minor problems. This is really limiting your ability to give this power - eg, the "he's always on tiiiime" parts really want some more oomph, but I suspect you can't give that oomph and have it sound good because the underlying technique isn't very strong.

If I were you teacher, I'd focus on making you sing full, round tone for a while to really nail those fundamentals. They you can come back to this sort of raspyness and it'll have a lot more oomph and power.

Thanks for the reply!

I believe you are right. My technique is bad, and it certainly prevents me from putting power into it. I'm not sure if it's a breathing thing or not. No matter where I try and resonate my voice it feels tense and forced.

Get lessons.

The thing about singing is that it's not one thing. You probably are forcing it, but me just saying "don't force it" isn't going to do you any good. A good teacher will be able to work through the various places where your technique is bad (and there are probably more than one) one at a time.
