It kicks arse, it really does. I'd recommend the RM100 to anybody but there is a catch; you'll end up spending a fortune on modules. Cheaper than new amps though. I've spent about $800 on modules so far.

nice

don't the stock/non-modded modules all have the same colour faceplate?

Yeah, except for signature stuff. The Scott Ian module is so over-the-top, I actually would really like to try it but I doubt I'd buy it just because it looks so silly

I do like how Salvation tries to catch some of the look of the original, kind of neat.

ah right, thanks

and yeah. if you're going for modules based on classic amps, making them look right adds to that

The Salvation modules have a nice look to them, some of the other makers get a bit garish. Anthony has pretty good taste with the design of his panels. Unlike say, this one:

http://www.jadedfaithmods.com/twox.html

I'm sure it's a great sounding module but the graphics are a bit on the nose.

Greg, I didn't know you had a speech impediment. The word is modular, not modeller.

Visiting the family in a few weeks. Maybe I'll snag my brothers RM50. I need a project or two. Tweaking a few modules should be fun.

As promised, here's a quick clip.
I give a short blast on each of the three modules. There's a bit of Quadraverb added in via the parallel loop.
Miked with an AKG D3700

Still learning how to dial in the Markus module, I'm sure I can get it better after getting to know it better but anyway, here 'tis.

The Mash-all is a great module.

But now, the Tweed with the gain cranked for a bit of instant Crazy Horse.

Btw, I'm just using the bridge pup in my Yammy SG. It's the pup from a Les Paul Custom.

It's gonna take me a while to extract the sound I'm looking for out of the Markus but I'm sure it's in there. The tone controls are weird, just like on a real Mesa. What I really want to find in there is Santana's lead tone on Abraxus, or something in that vein anyway. I'll get there I think, it's just gonna take some time with it.

i thought the markus module sounded good already, though obviously that's probably not the exact type of tone you're going for
