Overdrive Or Distortion Pedals

Hi all,

Bit of a newbie when it comes to effects pedals so could someone tell me what the best pedal is if I'm after that Oasis/Noel Gallagher lead tone. Is it an overdrive or a distortion pedal?
I know Noel uses an Ibazez TS9 Tubescreamer pedal, is this an overdrive or a distortion pedal?

Thanks guys!!

I'd go with overdrive for an Oasis sound - distortions are for heavier stuff really.

I'd definitely give this one a read:

Why have you necrobumped a thread to ask a question that has nothing to do with the topic?
