amps

so im kinda new to buying amps and such and im not really sure what im doing but do you have any suggestions on cheap amps that have sort of a punk/alternative sound???? this is the guitar that im planning to order http://www.guitarcenter.com/FENDER-Modern-Player-Stratocaster-Hss-Electric-Guitar-108295114-i2013846.gc and im just really not sure about what amps are good

Your cheap and my cheap could be different. We need a more concrete budget.
Are you willing to buy used?
Do you need the amp to gig?
Punk/alternative covers a lot of ground. Can you think of a few specific bands you really like the sound of?

How bout a Marshall Class 5 or an Egnater Rebel or Tweaker?

The guitar you linked is a good, versatile guitar to start out with but have you ever played a strat? I love strats but I've never quite gotten along with 'em as far as actually playing one. Its good to actually play/try different guitar models when you're starting out to find one that actually feels good to you. A lotta folks on this forum wouldn't buy a guitar without trying it.

Used Valveking 112 (the older ones, not the new ones). Run under $300, all tube.
