I will genuinely try to keep up to date with FC Koln this year, too I'm sure it'll be quite difficult as they won't be playing on any channels I have and there'll probably only be streams for their matches against Bayern/Dortmund, but I'll just read write-ups and use my imagination or something.

I think the Bundesliga is actually a pretty good league for finding streams for most games so you should be able too.

Following a foreign team is easy, I've always wanted to try it but then I lose interest when I actually start to pick a team. I almost tried Cagliari last season because Pinilla played there and I like their kit but I couldn't be arsed.

To be fair, if I was able to support any German team purely for interest it'd probably be SpVgg Bayern Hof, because my friend's brother plays in goal for them... but they've just been relegated to the fifth tier there (Bayernliga Nord) so would be pretty unlikely to catch any footage of their games even on Youtube

Edit: Just found her brother on FB and looks like he doesn't play for them anymore... well, last picture of him in their kit is from 2012, and he's not on the squad on their Wiki page

1. FC Koln all the way, anyway!

It's easier to just subscribe to it. Other thread won't get bumped, so you can just forget about it

So I get an e-mail every time someone posts in here? I don't want my phone going mental during matchdays.

No, you can subscribe without email updates (I thought it was the default option, tbh) so it just shows in your User CP whenever there's been posts since you last checked.

Also, you laugh but I should have started liking Koln sooner. Podolski was one of their players (twice), and left to Arsenal when Koln got relegated, and that crazy keeper (Schumacher) who came flying out and knocked out that French guy in the '82 WC was the Koln keeper.

And the best thing, it said on that article with the goat stuff that he'll be one of two 'real' mascots in the Bundesliga next season... apparently Eintracht Frankfurt have a fucking EAGLE for a mascot... called Atilla

Back when Köln were in the first division the goat got more close ups than most of the players. It was hilarious. Normal shot of game-Podolski-Normal shot-Goat-Normal shot. Sometimes they'd even film someone who wasn't Podolski or grazing on the grass on the side of the pitch.

Like Disarm said, you can choose to not receive emails. It's not the default, but it's a quick dropdown menu away. I rarely go into the pit much, it's easier to just see your threads on the control panel.

OT: Barcelona seem to be after Hummels, Vertonghen and Schar. I'd be happy with any of those, but Hummels...

As unbelievable as it is, he would be an absolutely amazing signing.

It sounds amazing, I wish I knew about our lord and saviour Hennes VIII sooner

Btw, Koln were just promoted to Bundesliga 1 so here's hoping to loads of goat shots.

Oh yeah, and Koln are clearly #GOATteam

Its amazing. You'd get a shot of a manager going mental on the sideline, then see Hennes eating there just to the side. It looked like some weird parody of a football game.

Oh my god, this is clear proof that goats should be introduced to the beginning of all football games, this is hilarious

A whole stadium cheering a goat escaping from its handlers

I really hope I'm not going to be the only person who watched that goat video whilst "commentating" in my head.

When I say "commentating" I mean "adding in dialogue for the goat." Along the lines of "u wot m8? You want some? Nah m8, I'm gone, if there was a ball here that's a peach of a cross right onto the head that is. Yeah. #silks."

I'm convinced teams should have real versions of there mascots on the side of the pitch, instead of some guys in sweaty costumes. Imagine how fun it would be when stuttgart roll on to the pitch with a goddamn alligator. Dortmund could let a swarm of bees loose in the stadium. Man United could perform a ritual and summon satan.

Early predictions - obviously impossible to say without signings being made, groups being drawn etc.

Premiership winner: Chelsea
Premiership top 4 (in order): Chelsea, City, Arsenal, United
Premiership relegated: Burnley, QPR, Sunderland

1st Premiership manager sacked: Pochettino of Spurs
Premiership top scorer: Alexis Sanchez

La Liga winner: Real Madrid
Bundesliga winner: Bayern Munich
Ligue 1 winner: PSG
Serie A winner: Juventus
Eredivisie winner: Ajax

Champions League winner: Bayern Munich
Europa League winner: who is even in the EL? Everton!

Sam will be happy at this: http://www1.skysports.com/football/...eal-madrid-move Kroos to RM looks like it's happening. Big loss for Bayern in my opinion, I would've tried to hang onto him. Hopefully this will facilitate Khedira coming to join Ozil at Arsenal.

That's one of those moves that didn't really need confirmation. It's been in the press for a week now, with members of both clubs talking about it as certainty. Wonder what happens to Isco now.
