It consists of Anthony Kiedis on vocals, Flea (Michael Balzary) on bass, John Fruscianti on guitar, and Chad Smith on drums. They had first called themselves "Anthym first of all", then "What is This?" and finally "The Red Hot Chile Peppers". June 27, 1988, the guitarist is found died of an overdose at 26 years. Jack makes a nervous breakdown and leaves the group definitively. Anthony and Flea recruit a new guitarist, John Frusciante, and a new beater, Chad Smith. "Mother' S Milk", dedicated to Hillel Slovak, leaves in 1989 and "Higher Ground", taken again of a piece of Stevie Wonder, cases. Red Hot decide to break the contract which binds them to EMI the following year and sign then at Warner. At the end of 91 appears the album "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" with the hit "Under The Bridge". The formation undergoes some changes, in particular with the departure of John Frusciante, replaced finallement by Dave Navarro. In 1999, the album "Californication" explodes the sales with in particular "Otherside" and "Road Trippin". Ah nice choice. Always a fun one to play. Few little spelling mistakes and bits missing, but the TOTM isn't meant to be about a band biog anyway, so very nicely done.

I have bad memories of this song. There used to be a band in my town that just formed around the time this song came out and they were all beginners. They had no original songs and only about 3 covers. This was one of them. We once jammed on this song and they wanted to play it for about an hour. They once played this song for 3 hours straight trying to get it down and the neighbours were complaining like crazy. I think one of the quotes was "If they don't stop, I"m going shove a guitar up their asses!"
Still a fun song, but I can't listen to it or play it without thinking of that experience.

The band biog is attrociously written; its barely coherrant and only goes up to 1999; forgetting, obviously, the release of By The Way.
Many other major things are missing also..

^ If you want to write one, feel free. I don't have time at the moment, high voltage disappeared and no one's asked if they could do one.
