Powerchords are used more than anything in rock, Rock evolved from blues and uses blues techniques (I-IV-V, Pentatonics/Blues Scales.

When you think of "rock" do you think of B.B. King, or ACDC?

EDIT: Did you even read the whole thing? You couldn't have in 5 minutes.

Oh well, thanks.

So should Pt. II be:

Applying the Blues (I am such a hypocrit)
or,
Pentatonics in Rhythm
or,
Beyond Power Chords. <--- I vote for that one

i thought it was pretty good other then the fact that i play back in black's main riff with a D5 opposed to a Dmaj. I think the next one would be cool if it was a pentatonic lesson.

IMO I would vote for beyond power chords, that would be nice, also sweet article

Aye, AC/DC used full chords quite often.

I thought it was kinda jumpy...good intro with the powerchords, but I would've saved drop D and other alternate tunings for a later lesson, and focused more on the chords and progressions themselves. And I believe your Asus2 would be Asus2/B and Gsus2 would be Gsus2/A...I think it would've been better to wait on the altered chords until a more in-depth explanation of their construction and use. And of course they're not powerchords But other than that it looks pretty good to me

I don't find your third way of playing powerchords difficult at all, and I really hate the first and second ways ;p
