It should be coming out in late 2007. Last I checked it was August or some time.

I'm impatiently waiting for the new album.

Man, it's taking FOREVER for the new stuff to come out. They better not break up, and never release the second album. If Jari dies or something before it gets finished, I'm gonna be pissed.

They aren't viking metal... Are they?

I ****ing love them so much, my favorite band along with Amon Amarth, Nile and Cannibal Corpse, but Jari is definitally my favorite musician in the world along with Karl.

I would just call them melodic death metal with influences from power, black, progressive, whatever.

I would not call them viking metal at all. They're lyrics don't even represent that.

That's what I was thinking. That and the fact that it's so much more emotional than what you think a viking band would have.

And if Jari does die before the CD is released, it'll be your throat frozen-dirt.

I love wintersun. Alot of melodic content on this first CD. Jari's an insane guitarist as well. There's a few sweeps on this first album that are fast and catchy as hell! Can't wait for the next album!

points for having one of the coolest t-shirts ever, and using a telecaster

I'm so excited for this. Wintersun is an amazing band, I don't care if it's 'cheesy'. Jari is a good guitarist.
