Bump!

My new favourite band. And Nattens Madrigal is my new favourite album. Which is my first ever favourite black metal album, lol

Bump...

I think I just fell in love with Blood Inside. I was too ****ing stupid to give it a chance at the beginning, but god damn, am I glad that I did.

Let this be a lesson to those of you who just read reviews on metal-archives and let those pretentious f*cks tell you what and what not to listen to. Judge the music for yourself.

The new Ulver is super progged out. twill be great drivin tunage.

Will do. Ulver is a band I have been meaning to really get into, but haven't because...I haven't been in a BM phase lately, and that means I haven't been in the mood for it.

I used to rely on reviews, but they really say nothing. I remember when everyone on the intarwebz was telling me that Octavarium was crap and when I finally heard it I thought it was one of DT's best. Then I heard many bad reviews for Scarsick and a lot of people bitching, but ended up liking that album. I think there's a fine line between "ran dry out of ideas and is resulting to recycling/rehashing or just making really boring music", and "going back to basics and/or trying for a new approach and still maintaining emotion"...if that made any sense. It's past 1 oclock, and I don't know what exactly I'm saying + I'm uber sick.

Anyways....I need to get into Ulver. What genre(s) exactly did Ulver do after their black metal stage?

Progressive Industrial/Electronica Folk (ironically, using metal-archives). Progarchives devines them as Experimental/Post-Rock.

Check out those songs......mmmm. In the Red is awesome.

Ulver is useless. I would be pretty happy if Garm just took a ****ing shotgun to his head and did me a favor.

Shit.

We all know where you came from. your mouth = closed

Ulver is an excellent example of what Metal is capable of, but hardly pursued.

I only have Shadows Of The Sun. I love it.
I'm going to have to buy one of their older CDs though.
