Too bad the quality sounds like it came out of my butthole. Fun to watch though.

I've been listening to the same 30-second sample of Thousand Years Of Oppression every ten minutes for the past two days. I need to get an Amon Amarth album. Badly.

I'll see which one they have at Bust Buy tomorrow (or the next day). They (BB) seems to overstock on one CD, which is most likely going to be Fate of the Norms.

meh. Dial-up-connection and no google video in Germany available.
But I bought Avenger and Fate of Norns today. I was a bit disappointed from Fate Of Norns, maybe I'll get into it after a few times I've listened to it.
The Avenger = teh slay. Looking forward to the DVD...

^yeah, I haven't heard the whole thing, but I have about a half of it on my computer. Good stuff. Come to think of it I have quite a few halves of AA cds on my pc lol... Finances are always a bitch though in limiting the album-getting.

Great band. I love their stuff, very melodic and almost soothing at times. Favorite song has to be "Where Silend Gods Stand Guard." That song kicks so much ass, with Death in Fire coming in at a close second.

Fate of Norns and Versus the World are both spectacular albums in my book.

Seriously, you need to get Once Sent From The Golden Hall. I agree with the guys here, pre-VStW stuff is so underrated, although the 2 latest records are great aswell.

My personal favorites list:

1. Once Sent From The Golden Hall
2. Versus The World
3. Sorrow THroughout the Nine Worlds
4. The Avenger
5. having sex
6. Fate of Norns

close call between 5 and 6.

AMON AMARTH Begin Recording New Album - May 3, 2006

Swedish Viking death metal heroes AMON AMARTH have entered Fascination Street studios in Írebro, Sweden to begin recording their sixth full-length album. The band will record all through May until June 14 with producer Jens Bogren. There will be frequent updates with pictures from the recordings on their homepage, www.amonamarth.com. The as-yet-untitled CD is scheduled for release in September via Metal Blade Records.

As previously reported, Metal Blade Records were forced to postpone the release date of the AMON AMARTH DVD, "Wrath of the Norsemen", to May 15 (May 12 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland) from the previously announced April 24 due to "technical reasons." The three-disc set will be released in a deluxe 10-page digipack with special gold-laminated slipcase. The main body of the DVD is the Cologne show from last year ? filmed with 11 cameras, this was the longest show AMON AMARTH have ever played (23 songs!). Bonus footage includes interviews, behind-the-scenes of the DVD recording and other stuff filmed around the Cologne show. Discs 2 and 3 feature professionally filmed shows from Summer Breeze 2005, the Metal Blade Rrroooaaarrr 2005 (a show with a really unusual setlist!), Wacken Open Air 2004 and the release show for "Fate of Norns" in Ludwigsburg (Germany) in 2004.
