It's not really the financial aspect. It's that these jokers live a life of luxury as 'superiors' without having done one day of work in their whole lives.

Yours don't work? Hah, losers! Unless you don't count involvement with government, state trips, ceremonial stuff and charity stuff as work. Ours is supposed to work like 60 hours a week, and she's 75. And her son, who's gonna be our king come Spring does all kinds of good things for anything to do with water projects. Irrigation in dry countries, flood prevention, water quality and the like.

Now I sound like a fanboy.

You big royalist.

Well at least your peeps do their bit. But if signing some bills and touring other countries counts as 'work' then sign me up.

I found out Queen Elizabeth II didn't start paying income tax until the 1990s. Despite all the "good work" and "tourism" royals provide, the fact that they exist is a big shit stain on democracies that people have fought and died for for hundreds if not thousands of years.

I'm not pro monarchy, I'm just not anti-monarchy either (unless it's a real monarchy like Saudi Arabia).

With that said I don't agree with the 'royal family provides economic growth with tourism' argument. If the monarchy was abolished Britain would still have loads of tourism. The English royal family are also the most annoying. The Swedish (and Dutch and basically all of the others) royal family is way cooler. Too bad the bunny ears photo isn't real though. :/

I think I'll conclude my Pro-America arguments in this post. The reason why I like the country because in Australia the rights of free speech, freedom of the press etc. are only implied. They MUST be written down, there is simply no wiggle room or argument in these matters.

Finally got the new Biffy Clyro album. It's really rather good actually, better than I could have expected. Veers a bit on the forgettable-pop side of things at times (as expected), but there's a lot of really good semi-heavy alt-rock here too. It's a style that borrows from across their past releases, but that they haven't really mined properly before - and one that really works rather well.

I'm enjoying it a lot more than I did Only Revolutions, anyway.

See what happens when you talk about music in here? I'd happily bring the conversation back to computers since I'm no more enlightened than when I asked last time.

My HP's harddisk just broke. Still within warranty, so it's not too much of an issue, but still.

Wonder how much replacing it would cost if it were a Macbook compared to a regular laptop though.

A lot of things pop into my mind when listening to that song. As of yet, surfing Juggalos have not been among those thoughts.

There must be something deep I'm missing here...

Muse videos have always been kind of that way.

I don't care about videos though.

The video for Starlight has a special place in my heart because it's how I first heard Muse. It came on and I was like "These guys are amazing!"

Imagine my reaction when I heard OoS for the first time

Well I'm getting a desktop, because for the price of an average laptop I can put together a very very very good desktop. To be honest I can't think of many situations where I'll need a laptop, and buying one not because I need it but because I might need it seems quite silly.

Quite silly being the perfect segue-way into music videos. I never ever watch them.

Good for you. IMO, sounds like you made the right choice. Certainly you'll get much better value for money that way.

So if you all ever get bored I made some prick made a Muse thread at musictalkboard.icyboards. I am in second for the first time though. If this is advertising (admittedly it kind of is >_>) I will remove this post.

Not at all. You are not a cockatoo but in fact a parrot. You seem to have been second in something over and some other website, and you in your parrot-like nature have mimicked me, the true Will.

Having unwillingly listened to a bit of dubstep over the past few days (including at a wedding, that was weird), I have to give Muse credit for taking something that sounds like complete migraine-inducing horseshit and making it sound moderately better.
