No you're not. But this should probably go into Classic Rock (since the Prog forum doesn't discuss much classic prog).

I love them. I have Trilogy, Tarkus, and Brain Salad Surgery. I especially like the part in Karn Evil 9 First Impression Part 1, when Greg sings "spectacular, spectacular", but sings it so that it rhymes with "car".
If anyone would like to send me more of their stuff, AIM geddylee718

The ONLY drummer better than Carl Palmer is Neil Peart.
As far as I can think of, at least. And, of course, nobody can play like Keith Emerson. Greg Lake's a good singer, but his bass isnt on par with the rest of the band's abilities.

You don't think Lake's a good bassist? You must be out of your mind, he's one of the best! But ELP is a very good band and i enjoy their music alot.

I never said he wasn't good, but his bass playing isn't as good as carl's drumming or keith's keyboard playing.

Greg Lake is kickass on the bass. He was escpecially great in Larks' Tongues In Aspic part 1 (An old King Crimson song) where he pulls of the most awesome improvised bass solo. I believe he also uses a wah-wah for that solo. EDIT: Quote:
Oh... Sorry then. I thought you meant that Lake was crappy.
