People who listen to Mindless Self Indulgence don't have room to talk about Dimebag.

Mindless Self Indulgence is one of the worst bands I've ever heard.
On topic: Seeing BTBAM Sunday, can't wait.

If you think about it, Boy Bands really aren't that terrible.
The only thing they're lacking is originality, extremely, but that still puts them up there with Atreyu at the very LOWEST. I mean, they've got a ton of vocal technique, relatively large ranges, if not individually, then collectively. They can stay in key, on time, AND DANCE! MSI fails to even keep themselves in tune with each other. These conversations have meandered so godamn far from the topic that if the title of the thread wasnt displayed I honestly think we would all have forgotten what we're even talking about.

Ohhhhhhh I had no idea that your avatar was MSI.
I didn't mean to chew you out for liking them. Sry d00d. EDIT: Oh yeah, I dont know if we already talked about this or not but aren't BTBAM kinda... boring live? I've seen many-a-video and most of the band is just kind of standing there bobbing their heads. Although Tommy really makes up for it with his moving about the stage, allowing the audience to sing, and throwin' up his relatively cheesy metal claws. I dont know, I'd love to see BTBAM live but I sort of wish they would not focus so much on being dead-on as far as the technical aspect of it.

Well they play technical-ass stuff. I'd rather they have a tight set than crazy stage presence. But that's just me.

the new BTBAM album, im pretty sure, isnt going to be very good. Their cover of Blackened is terrible, and i can only think it gets worse

I think it'll be cool in it's own ways.
People who are listening to the album to compare the cover to the originals aren't going to be satisfied at all. I like that they're taking it in different directions. |

BTBAM have some of the best vocals that i've heard. Their singer doesn't need to find a new style.. you need to find a new band! ps. peeps check out the alaska intro powertab i uploaded! |

So I just got Alaska and, uh, I've never heard anything this amazing in my life. It's so insane. They sound like The Red Chord one minute and Queen the next.

Quoted for truth. I loved Alaska just as much as I loved Silent Circus. Both albums are superior. They are completely original and that's what I love about them. Including the vocals. A range of different styles are used and, to be honest, I don't want BTBAM to change one bit, because I love what they do and I always have, and always will as long is I love metal. |

I wasn't a big fan of Alaska, I prefer the Silent Circus. The Anatomy Of Is also great, well, all their CD's are.
Quick question, you know how Glass Casket and BTBAM share some of the same members? Is it the drummer and Dusty or is it somebody else? |
