when I first heard them, I thought sweet leaf and symptom of the universe (both sabbath tunes) were the heaviest songs I'd ever heard.

The outro riff to the Beatles' "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is so.....well......heavy, especially for its time.


That being said, nothing is able to surpass the heaviness that is Electric Wizard. Even their "lightest" riff is probably more heavy than 99% of riffs out there
