Brilliant band. I love the way they mix the music of The Sex Pistols with the lyrical prowess of The Streets. Alex Turner is a very talented musician.

IMO, great band. They seem to know what it takes to write a catchy pop song, which is respectable.

would be nice if you could at least spell their goddamn name right

their best tunes have to be "i bet you look good on the dancefloor", and maybe "dancing shoes"

my favorite song by them is probably " you probably couldn't see for the lights but you were looking straight at me" either that or "i bet you look good on the dancefloor"

Metallica. Most predictable band for someone on this site to like. Now tell me which is worse? Anyway, I got the album out of the library for a week and liked it quite a bit. It's not amazing or anything, but lots of the songs had good hooks and I thought the lyrics were simple but very clever. I really like their mellower songs like When the Sun Goes Down, Mardy Bum and that one about the kids being busted for having booze. Fake Tales of San Francisco is going to be a classic too.
