It's a matter of experience and knowledge as well. Buy an MG. Later on down the road, when you start cranking up tube amps to see what people are really takling about, and possibly throwing an OD in front of them, you'll think of this thread and be like "Oh man, I should've listened!"

lmao that google video mg review posted earlier in the thread is hilarious!! haha.. if you were gonna go with a solid state halfstack id pick the b52 for the same price, much better quality and sounds a tad bit closer to tube. but yes, go with a tube combo

People rip in the MG's so much, but the only real tone problem is the cab. They sound so much better with ANY other cab. There is still the problem with the quality controll, but thats almost all Marshall's that are produced these days. It's cheaper for them to offer the 5 year warrenty and hope you don't return it. But trust me try a mg through a messa, laney, or blackstar cab and you'll hear a huge difference.

MGs still suck regardless of the cab.
