^Yeah, I just watched it, and it was a tad sloppy. Still had a good energy to it though.

Any particular reason that all their solos have names?
When you read the lyrics, every solo has some weird/gory medical term for a label... Instrumedit: Lol, I like the "solo" rectal intubation with an intolerably hot enema, by Michael Amott.

I hate people who write Carcass off for going/creating melodeath. How boring would music be if it was always the same style, same riffs recycled to try and keep a niche market pleased.
Carcass are my favourite band, and I enjoy pretty much everything they've released

I didn't really like Aborted's vocals on Heartwork. sounded wayy too hardcore. The melody was a little sloppy too (as previously mentioned).

I just watched the Red Dwarf episode guest staring carcass.
"The whacked-out, crazy, hippy drummer's called Dobbin. He joined the police force in the end. Became a grand wizard in the Freemasons. The bass is called Gazza. He was a neo-marxist, nihilistic, anarchist. Eventually joined a large insurance company and got his own parking space." "oooooommmmm" |

It's sad they broke up. I saw a Jeff and Mike interview from I would assume Heartwork era and the interviewer asked what kind of music they listened to and Jeff started laughing and said 'Not metal!' I guess he just got bored. It's sad, they were amazing. Arch Enemy will never come close to what Carcass was, especially not new Arch Enemy. Early Arch Enemy sounded like Carcass but not as godly, yet it was still great. Ah well. I guess it's better Carcass ended when it did so that they didn't end up as a washed up metal band.

i'm getting kind of shitty at everyone ripping post-johan arch enemy
i can't stand his vocals. even on songs like bury me an angel, when he sings it, it somehow seems wrong. angela does it pretty well though...in my opinion anyway. and they still have some awesome riffs and melodies. anyway, about carcass...mostly. was anyone else shocked about how someone would want to be welded to a sculpture? (hr gigers life support 1993, in the video clip for heartwork) i was actually kind of disgusted that someone would want to weld another person to a sculpture...it's just weird.

^if you look up heartwork on wikipedia it has details on lifesupport 93, and says that it has the real life sculpture, including someone welded to it.
in the video you can't see that he's welded to it, but he has drips and all that sort of shit going into him to make sure he's ok

Nothing by Carcass is lame. All Carcass is excellence. We will make everything Carcass! Their grind stuff is better indeed, but their Melo-death era was equally inspiring. It really irritates me when people accuse Carcass of selling out or whatever. It must get real fi;cking boring playing the same music on every single album. Symphonies is my favourite album but Necroticism is clearly their best effort in terms of techicality and musicianship
