The John Frusciante Thread
Welcome to the John Frusciante thread. Here you can discuss his solo career and his work with the chili peppers. You can link videos, and talk about John Frusciante tabs (even chili peppers tabs if you want), his guitar technique, style , whatever. But this is separate from the RHCP thread. That thread is too big to discuss the above so I thought I'd make this thread.

Yiew mad I love John....does anyone know why his solo career isnt as famous as his Chili Pepper career I think he is very talented and deserves alot more recognision as a solo artist aswell!
And is it just me or is one of the few 'gifted' human males that can get there voice to go so high pithced but still sound good and 'manly'...I think its a beautiful gift.

I love him. I've been listening to him a lot lately, and his styles starting to rub off onto my playing. I've got Niandra LaDes and Usually Just a T-Shirt, The Will to Death, Shadows Collide With People and Curtains.

on another note in the town i live in i dont have a good place to buy cds (all we have is wal-mart) so i can't get my hands on a john frusciante album because he's not mainstream enough. but i did download a couple of his songs just to see what his music is about. I downlaoded "regret", "a son to sing when i am lonely" and " the first season". theyre all amazing. I looked for "the past recedes" cause is aw the video on yuotube and i instantly loved the song, but i didnt find it  . his music is interesting cause it has a touch of electronica in it. its a unique mix.

Regret and Song To Sing When I'm Lonely are both on Shadow Collide With People. It's not his best album, but it has the best songs on it (if that makes sense
 ) I love Carvel.

i think the acoustic version of "shadows collide with people" is beautiful. i couldnt stop listening to it.

Hes the reason I picked up guitar. He is amazing in The Chilis, and solo. I have:

Though I love his solo work, some of it is a little strange, IMO.
..Though I have to say, as a RHCP fan, I wish he sang more than harmony in it. He has such a cool voice. |

Anthony has a more unique voice, which is why he sings.. you hear him sing, and automatically you know, hey thats a red hot chili peppers song. personally i think anthony writes pretty aweful lyrics. 666 by frusciante is such a badass song lol

I like some of Anthony's lyrics. Sir Psycho Sexy is just mental. But enough about Anthony
 I'm really starting to love John's lyrics. They're not as complex as MJK from Tool, but they really are just great. 'Anne' really gets to me for some reason, the part about the angels completely lets you into his belief of spirits.

Does Anyone have the Tabs to the under the bridge lesson he did for guitar world? Its differnt then the tabs they have on UG and i would really love to find out how he's doing it. I saw the RCHP in concert last night and john was awesome, He really helps put on a great show.
