I love John Frusciante, and in fact, not only is he the reason why I also love guitar, but is my biggest guitar idol to date. I do feel, however, that the Chilis is also an incredible band and without John, it would definitely decline. I personally really liked Stadium Arcadium, so to me, they are only getting better with each release.
Oh, and the last season and an exercise are two amazing songs. Although, they are all truly sublime.

I got Inside of Emptiness yesterday. I was listening to it in the car driving to a mates house and it sounded pretty awesome. Very different from the other things I have by him.

Since I got into music I've always listened to the chilis, never took much notice of how great Frusciante was, untill I started getting big into guitar. I think he is the best guitarist around, and I think The Chilis worse period was with Navarro (Sp?) What were they thinking (No offense to Navarro fans but jeesus)
So our lesson for today and every other day is JOHN FRUSCIANTE = GOD |

i didnt say that frusciante was their only guitarist. i just said that they wouldnt be the chili's without john because he plays a huge part in the sound and creativitly process. and Conky still proved you wrong about the six guitarist thing, and who gives a dman if he listed them all cause there was a couple in there i didnt know about.

Dude, fricking relax! I wasn't attacking you or him. I was just saying there were 3 guitarists before Frusciante joined so the Chillis were the Chillis before Frusciante and they were damn good. Different sounding but good. So, no, he didn't prove me wrong because there weren't 6 guitarists before Frusciante only 3. Take the time to read my responses before you go off. ![]()

i ain't the one freaking out, and i did read your posts. you said in one post that there was 6 guitarists before frusciante. then conky named them all off them and therefore proved you wrong by staing there was really only 3.

Then you should learn to read. I said there were 6 and said *I think*. See:
Quote:
Then he listed all of them by stating 8. NOT correcting me on the 3. He thought I was talking about ALL the guitarist NOT the ones before Frusciante. See: Quote:
Then "I" corrected MYSELF by saying 3 before Frusciante. I said 3 not Conky. See: Quote:
OK? You can go back and look. No edits were done. We were discussing it calmly until you chimed in. This whole thing got blow up ******edly just because I was giving my fricking opinion on the chili's before Frusciante. So if you aren?t going to follow the conversation properly let it go.

john is a great guitarest but when it comes to live performances he ruins the song by changing the solos or chords. If u ever listened to californiacation or scar tissue live u'll no what i'm talking about, he completely changes the solos and it sounds crap.BESIDES THAT HE'S BRILLIANT!

His improv solo's are fantastic. The ones he does in Californication are loads better than the studio ones.

John is such a knowledgable musician, and an awesome guitarist. He is my biggest inspiration and I am a huge fan of his solo work; also the Chili Peppers are my favorite band. I'd love to meet him and sit down and have a chat with him; he would be such a fascinating person to talk to.
It's very hard to find his solo stuff and I don't like downloading store-released music, although I've downloaded the acoustic version of SCWP and the free internet album, From The Sounds Inside. Great stuff. |
