Yeah and also, i am a little happy that on their Crimson album, that they got improved from the songs on their previous albums. Before they were all like "OMG, i drink too much". Now, it is a little more sophisticated and.....superb.

Yeah, the lyrics were a little cliche. Except for Trouble Breathing. That's still amazing lyric-wise.
Plus Nose Over Tail...all the lines before "You're saving me."

I don't think they were ALL cliche. Cringe, Southern Rock, and, as you said, Trouble Breathing are all really good IMO. Also, I've always loved Sundials and For Your Lungs Only. I think Dan's earlier songs (except Maybe I'll Catch Fire) were really cliche though. |

speaking of Dan's vocals, in the song "Back To Hell" when dan first comes in and says "Give us back our sins" doesn't it sound like hes underwater?

Yeah, but its such an awesome song. I love Dan's backing vocals when Matt sings "Put down like a prostitute in court.." And the little bass riff at the end is really cool. |

I love Dan's vocals for sure, and my favorite songs tend to be sung/written by Dan, but I just love the overall feel of Matt's songs.

You guys like San Francisco? To me that is one of their least best songs. That song sounds too meh. Nothing special. Sundials...now that's an awsome song.

San Fransisco is ****ing great, and Sundials is an absolutely amazing song. Probably my second favorite. Best Alkaline Trio bass line? Goodbye Forever...pretty much everything on Selft-Titled.

I don't think everything on that album is awesome. I think Goddamnit has the best bass lines. I love the guitar intro on Queen of Pain and Hell Yes. |

Mhm...Goddammit definately has amazing bass lines. Dan is really talented. Not only because he plays well, but because he's also very creative.

Their S/T is aight, not the greatest. *********! is by far their best. I can get into most/all of the songs on that album. *********! has awesome songs...well except for S.F. I especially like "Enjoy your day". That song is so depressing.
