Im going to a Megadeth concert by myself in June. At the 02 Brixton, London. Its my first concert ever and i did not want to pass up Megadeth because they're a great band. I'm slightly worried about going alone? should I even be worried?

^exactly? If you are worried about how their live show will be, then you do not need to worry at all. They are a really tight band live and if you already like them you must see them live. Some of us barely get a chance like that.

That's the operative term, here. Worried about getting abducted, or raped, or trampled, or lost. Not about the actual performance.
Nothing bad will happen to you, unless you're a sixteen year old girl, or a small boy who feels like pitting it up with the skinhead in a wife beater.

New song released today.
show

Not sure if Dave actually intended to rip off Children of the Grave for the verses... still better than Super Collider, though.

i liked it alot. very catchy chorus riff. but brodericks lead tone is just as bad as in 13. some people liked it, but I absolutely hate brodericks lead tone.

GOD never "wussed out". Hes GOD, he can do whatever he wants!!!! jk

at least marty has always to this day had a brilliant tone(even though he lets his tech decide what tone he uses). Broderick had something decent in Endgame, but 13 and this album so far, are just horrid. A lead tone is supposed to be full and dominating, but brodericks tone is just so puny and weak. its like hes using a really trebly amp without any fx. its noticably bad when hes playing fast licks. this is of course, my opinion on tone.

So far, not looking foward to this album just how I didnt really care about 13. Which is a shame because I want to like the stuff I really do, it just isn't doing anything for me bar the odd sweet broderick solo :/

Kinda liked the new song it's pretty catchy but I wish dave would try just a bit harder with the lyrics, something about "there's nothing you can do" just spunds so cheezy lol.

Saw them live last night. They put on a great show, but Dave's live vocals do leave something to be desired.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new album. I'll give it a week and see how it compares, but I don't see it getting any better. There are some really cool moments in my opinion, but then the songs always turn into something very mediocre. The lyrics are the worst yet. It seems like Dave is completely out of song ideas as far as lyrics are concerned.

To be fair, it's still better than the "radio rock" stuff, even if not by much. And there are a few cool song ideas so far.

I don't know how one could judge this just based on 4 songs.

Dude, why did you perform fellatio on the new TesseracT album and then decide to pass on this?

Because Tesseract is only a few years past their prime as supposed to a few decades. And if you thought I was performing fellatio on that album then you really need to hear me talk about more albums, because I get excited about almost any new album from a band I recognize.

I mean, really, man. I said it was about a 3 - 3.5 /5 for me

I didn't mind Endgame, but even my Megadeth fanboy friends aren't going to pick this up. So I'm not going to touch it.

Fair enough. 'Twas just a lame joke, btw.

Edit:
And on the subject of fanboys, they usually are the type of people (when it comes to a band like this) who are whining about how it's not like the old days. Interestingly enough, they also would whine if it was basically KIMBABIG 2.0.

That said, this isn't a great album, from what I've heard so far. And I'm ok with that. Not every album has to be a classic.
