Sikth are an awesome metal band with two vocalists who do fast trade offs and really make it work. Look them up now. Listen to Flogging The Horses or something.

As long as both vocalists are easily distinguishable I think it's awesome.
It's sad walking in a venue while a band is playing and not even noticing there are two vocalists until you notice the other guy lol.

For the most part, having one dedicated vocalist is best. Some bands can pull off 2. 3 is too much.
Really, if you need extra vocal parts, I personally favor a lead singer and background singers. |

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum are more progressive/avant garde metal, but everybody in the band sings at one point or another. Not necessarily what you are looking for exactly but you should check them out anyway because they are really good.
