I've been listening to Feedbacker on repeat for the last few months. All their albums rule so very very hard.

Their collaborations with Merzbow are amazing.

Can someone give me a good starting point for this band? Or any general rec?

I've only recently heard about them, and are interested in them.

Thanks.

Absolutego and Amplifier Worship could be a good starting point, but seeing as Boris have a freight train worth of discography in a lot of genres, it's a bit difficult. Maybe pick up the collaboration with Sunn O))) (Altar) first.

And may I add, what a brilliant live act

I HAVE Altar!

Wow.... I've only listened to it once (I haven't been in the mood for ambient doom stuff for quite some time) but I never realised Boris was on there. I just downloaded it because I had heard about Sunn O))).

And I'll check those out Emenius. Thanks.

Heavy Rocks is an awesome starting point if you like stoner rock.

I'd recommend Akuma No Uta to most people though, its got some of everything. Intro is droney, 2 faster rocky tracks, and then some chiller stuff.

The Merzbow collabs if you're into the really experimental stuff.

On what album do they play the stoner stuff? It's about time I checked them out.

I've heard a bit of their stuff, and I didn't really think they were as good as Sunn O))) or Earth. But I'll give them another go if I can find Amplifier Worship.

This thread has been gone too long.

Epic bump ftw.

Anyway, my taste for Boris has flourished over the past 11 months. In fact, I'm currently listening to the album "Smile".

Great, great stuff. "Pink" is great, as well. You just can't go wrong with some good Boris.
