Track-by-track review of King Animal. What I read was all very positive but I avoided a lot because I want to not know what to expect going in for most of it.

I'm gonna avoid it for that same reason too. I want to be completely surprised and blown away when it comes out. But knowing it was all positive is fantastic.

Man every time I listen to Superunknown I feel like it's the first time I'm listening to it. I don't think I've ever listened to an album as much as I have this one. It takes me back to middle school when I first starting getting deep into these guys (and everyone in the early '90s rock scene). I feel like a straight goober for saying this, but it's a feeling I can't quite describe

I can't wait for King Animal. Been reading the great reviews of the album and I am sure the band won't do a shit album. They never did.

Wow, awesome job man. Love the tone, it's a favorite of mine too, lyrics are gold. It's strange but I like to think of them as sort of looking through the eyes of a rapist. Even though it likely wasn't the intent I think every line could be the motivations one has and how they got the mindset that they can do that to a person.

I never pre-order anything, or get it immediately after it comes out for that matter.
The closest I've come is getting Billy Talent's Dead Silence a week after its release.

I've been Soundgarden deprived since this nigga got hit by Hurricane Sandy. I haven't been able to listen to any of the new previews because of it. Hell, im only able to post now because I charged my phone with a car battery.

Luckily, no. We've just been with out power since 5 PM Monday. Somehow my neighbor hood managed to avoid a lot of the major damage. Im still the only one out of the people i know without electricity though.

We got some wind damage and some flooding (also snow) here in Ohio but nothing too serious.

I'm continually more excited for this album. Non-State actor is good and I've Been Away for Too Long is great. If the rest of the album is similar quality I will be pleased.

I'm purposefully not watching any more of these. They've posted parts of like 9/13 of them and in a way it's almost ruining it for me, I Like Surprises

That reminded me. I'm kind of glad She Likes Surprises isn't the closing track on US copies of Superunknown. I really like the song and all, but you can't follow up Like Suicide with that. It's pretty much a vibe killer.
