Out of curiosity, what are they charging for tickets? (Soundgarden, not scalpers)

for the detroit show it was $75 ish. and that was after the service charge I believe. so its not a bad price. with my luck though, they'll break up after this tour or one of them will die hope that doesn't happen lol

Shit is the Chicago show sold out, I was hoping to go to that at the end of January.

No, they'll be doing this for a while imo. They seemed very enthusiastic about the album and like they're having a good time live and hanging out in interviews, even very open to the idea of another album. I'm guessing it just won't be their main focus for a while after the tour though.

Wow the Halfway There demo is bizarre. Not sure if I like it better but it's certainly interesting.

Not sure if he meant it to sound like that or Chris is just a little shit at production.

so hows everyone feeling about the album so far? favorite song(s)?
I'm still letting the album digest, but my favorite song right now is probably crooked steps. love the chorus on that one.

Still think it's great! By Crooked Steps, A Thousand Days Before and Rowing are also still my 3 favourite songs of it.

This is really cool, gonna have to listen to it in portions though, aint nobody got time for a 95 minute interview. Hmm, Matt said he likes Death Grips, might have to give them another chance. I liked that Taylor Hawkins said he heard Tom Waits in Rowing, that was my first thought when I heard it. |

Can't stop listening to it. I'd say top 3 are By Crooked Steps, Blood on the Valley Floor, and either Non State Actor or Black Saturday

I finally just listened to King Animal. I didn't absolutely love it, but it met my expectations, and it was pretty great. I feel like they did really well on the softer songs like Bones of Birds and Halfway There. I loved A Thousand Days Before, it was kind of folky and jiggy; and that was cool. Overall it was pretty great. Although it probably won't make my top 5 of the year.

I've noticed this album has the same sort of Superunknown effect on me. I can't just listen to one song from it then move on. I have to hear the whole thing.

Any of you guys into The Wellwater Conspiracy? I've never actually taken the time to listen to them before recently and I'm not sure why. They aren't Soundgarden but this stuff is really pretty great.
Also Matt's vocals are like Dave Grohl and Kurt Cobain's mixed together. I approve. Last edited by Bob_Sacamano : 12-06-2012 at 04:29 PM. |

I've only heard a live performance of Wimple Witch. That song was pretty good, so I don't know why I never bothered to look into them more.
