So I put a voltage adjust knob on my Big Muff.
Man, why don't they come with these factory? Probably the most useful knob on there; plays nice with guitar, but even better with bass. |

I thought Big Muffs didn't like being starved for voltage. What kind of sounds do you get?

It doesn't like it at all, no.
It's kind of hard to explain - uh: Okay so a stock muff is like a short hair. Sustain knob goes from human to cat to otter as you turn it up. Tone knob changes the texture of the hair and sounds pretty good around lunchtime (11-1 o'clock) Voltage knobbie changes the hair length as it holds back more. It gets saggier and bassier - smoother even - the tone knob sounds much better after getting back from a play (10-12 o'clock). It gets a lot quiter too, so the volume knob gets cranked. It also does cool things like shut up when I am not playing. Now I said it plays really well with bass. Something about running a bass through it makes it get all splatty like throwing bricks into pudding. I think it's got something to do with the output of the bass. It does weird things like oscillate (probably not the right word) a little when I play certain notes together. Maybe some clips tomorrow if anyone wants to hear. Basically, I would reccomend it to anyone that finds stock Muffs a little harsh. |

i just got the lpb-1 and its great
only thing is that i cant put it above 9 cos the volume difference would be too loud. also it doesnt crank up my amp (jcm 800 bass amp) and while i know its not an overdrive i tohugh it was meant to give a slight crunch. right now im using a squier (i use my fender for now), could the low output pickups be the problem? other than that its great, especially for the price |

Hi guys, I've been searching the forums a bit but can't seem to find an answer, so figured I'd come here and ask!
I've got a micro pog, and was wondering if anyone else has used it with a different power supply than the one provided, on a pedal board specifically? The instructions were pretty emphatic about not using anything else in case it got fried, but I'd really like to not have to carry extra plugs around with me to every gig... Thanks for the help, apologies if I missed the answer already.

Can I join clubs?

you mean the signal pad thing? that's not really a proper attenuator. it's just a volume pot in a box. it does exactly the same thing as the volume control on your guitar.
