Don't have the Big Muff, but a Strat and a VJ sounds...

Nice. Bluesy like nobody's business. Then roll down your tone knob for some jazzy licks, and bridge pickup + breakup = sex.

A small clone i see in my future. Unless I can convince myself that I like my DODFX75B better (which has, in fact, happened with chorus pedals before.) Boss=cold.

I also REALLY love that Big Muff, but maybe the god of EHX here, like soul power or Jinskee can advise on the NANO muff. I like that Big muff, But don't I have enough tone controls and volume controls already? do I really need that many?

My rig has 4 volume controls as of now, amp, guitar, ED-1, Turbo RAT, and I'm ditching the Boss OS-2 when my Pink Verb arrives.

I want some advice here. I might also consider the small stone, but I actually like BOSS for my phaser here. That Rise&Fall mode is awesome.

Another question: is the English Muff'n a distortion or an overdrive? If it's a distortion, I might add one.

Final Question: how's the black finger?

Ive actually never used it so i wont advise you on it but i do own the big muyff and i can say that the volume and tone controls do actualy make quite a difference. Lets explore a little here. The big muff is a pretty freakin loud pedal on an already loud clean channel. Right now i have the volume at about 2 o' clock tone at about 1.5 o' clock and sustain at about 12. The further to the right you move the pedal the more tinny it gets and this actually gives you a huge amount of control over the sound. The way i had it set up was for the dani california solo so u can get the idea of the tone there. I would say that the tone knob is probably the most versetile one on the thing so try both of em out befor you buy. The big muff is an awesome pedal BTW

the sustain seems more compressed when its fulll on, it gives a more raw sound when its about half way, and at low or so it just gives a nice fuzz (though dont be confused still very present...but it can get muddy)

i keep the volume about halfway to keep the volume at about the same level as my amp's clean tone

and the tone does make a difference... full on it gives the treble the advantage over the bass and makes really good for solos and smashing pumpkin type rythms... half way its has really nice balance and it just sounds creamy... on low it focuses on the bass more and just gives a nice warm sound

This is sweet. Does anyone here have a reissue 16-second delay? I don't really want or can afford the 2880, and I'd be interested to know how much they go for second hand. There was only ONE when I checked ebay.

Can you count me in for the metal muff also?

Thats embarrasing.. because I definitely wouldn't call myself a metal player

^ Same, I love my Russian Muff. But for bass. Shocking build quality though, but's it's a simple fix. The new ones are true bypass too!

I want a Q-tron. Again, for bass.
