Yeah same. I've enjoyed all their albums so far. Though I wouldn't class them as Metalcore a such. Tbh I don't know what I'd class them They're like a hybrid of punk/hxc/metal/grindcore/indie-(ish)...and early albums like P.T.E.S have alot of melodic moments(i'm hesitant to say emo)But yeah amazing band. Great live too ![]() |

Jane Doe is obviously their best. Then Petitioning the Empty Sky, Then You Fail Me. Can't wait to see them in November.

Jane Doe is obviously the best. In my humble opinion, one of the best hardcore albums to ever come out.

Honestly, I haven't really been able to get that into Converge.
I mean, I like them, but I feel like I don't like them anywhere near as much as everyone else. I dunno. EDIT: It is December 16, 2012. I am on the first page of this ****ing thread. Holy shit. I wrote this when I was 14. And I was so dumb.

I have the album You Fail Me and I think it's pretty boring. The band isn't that bad, they're just kinda boring.

Jane Doe is where it's at, but yeah petitioning is a close second. I'm appalled that more kids haven't been turned on to these guys.
Yeah, you fail me is a little different, but still great in it's own way. |

agreed. i have Jane Doe and i give it a listen and enjoy it every so often. You Fail me is also good from what songs ive heard from it. i would call them mathcore, if you ask me. also their drummer is probably the best and fastest i know of. |

^Not really. They do have some occasional odd time signatures...but generally I'd say their music is kept fairly simple.
Too simple to classed as "math-core" IMO. But yeah I agree about the drum work...especially on "You Fail Me", it is truly amazing. |

theres a difference between mathcore and technical mathcore. tech mathcore is like Psyopus, DEP and Into the Moat. Mathcore is basically stuff with just weird time signatures which is what they often have.

Yeah but I think its too narrow to class them as just math-core.
They're a fusion of many genres ![]() |
