Supergrass!

Discuss Supergrass here.

I recently got their greatest hits cos there are at a gig I'm going to and they are a top quality band. I can't believe there hasn't been a thread about them except someone saying 'Moving' was the best song ever.

Anyway my favourite song has to be Mary, such a good song.

Discuss.

Supergrass are fairly awesome, just very quietly got on with being successful for about 12 years or so which not many bands can lay claim to.

I prefer the early stuff, favourite track of theirs is probably "Going Out" which I know is basic but it just presses some button in my brain that says "Hell Yes".

Good choice, nice to see you're learning the Britpop essence

Very fun live. "Caught By The Fuzz" is still a classic.

"Pumping on your Stereo" is garbage however.

I've had a few listens of Road to Rouen (2005). I must confess some tunes are pretty enough, however can't love altogether...

Bring back this thread! Supergrass FTW!

In it for the money is a brilliant album, somewhat tainted by the last song. But still, the rest of it is good enough for that not to matter!

One of the most underrated british bands. If I were a woman, I would marry Gaz.

They're a very good band. I think that personally, the band is a very positive band. It can't really be underestimated, but it also can't be taken completely seriously. At least they're not over-hyped as the resurrection of the Beatles, as Oasis is. I love Oasis' music, but they do not necessarily have any songs that can even equate to the Beatles, the Stones, or, T-Rex. Suede, maybe, but not the other three. Hey, at least they aren't the Smiths. The Charlatans live up to their promotion as a mix of the Stones and the Stone Roses.

Definitely buy Supergrass.

Never really listened to them...was off my tits at a festival this summer and saw them live now I can't stop listening to them. They are getting dangerously close to becoming my favourite band.

love everything I've heard from them, very upbeat stuff. Almost saw them when they were opening for the Foo Fighters near my town, but missed the show

I went and saw them in Exeter and then met Gaz after the show, we waited round the back by the tourbus for ages till he came out . In my opinion In It For The Money is the shizzzzzzz, there isn't a bad song on it. I Should Coco is awesome, Life On Other Planets is quality and Diamond Hoo Ha, after a bit of listening, is growing on me.
