The new album is ****ing sick man. Only had one listen so far but man is it one tight, funky ass album. Probably better than Tonight, and that's solid too.

New album's pretty good, not as good as their second which is by far my favourite. I found myself getting bored of the new album pretty quickly though. Also, the intro to Brief Encounters reminds me of the Ice Path music in Pokémon Silver.

After more listens the fun punchiness of it sort of fades and you hear the core songwriting which ain't anything special, but it's still fun.

Franz is pretty much the ultimate festival band. It's fun, light-hearted, danceable and easy to sing along to, but not a band whose albums you'd collect on vinyl.

I picked up their self-pressed live album from pre-'Franz Ferdinand' for a fiver, I'd quite happily collect that vinyl all day long.
