love the band. even though 2/3 of the band were just alright at their instruments. not to diss on them they are doing way better than i am. but travis barker is like a GOD at drums. for me at least. i bet they will work things out even though tom is a big dick. trust me they will get back together cause tom will realize that Angles and Airwaves sucks, and that he made a mistake.

Like as corny as it sounds they were THE band when I was a kid. Never before had I heard music that not only was fun to listen to, but that was funny, and I could honestly relate to the songs. I mean I'm pretty sure Blink-182 wrote a better song about being grounded or broke or being rejected than anybody. Kind of a shame that they left when right now the current music scene needs positive fun music like theirs more than ever.

I like(d) them a lot for the music as it waas fun and energetic. People who say they suck probably don't even know what the key of a song is whereas the members of blink do.

The lyrics themselves though I didn't like. I mean if you met a 20something year old singing about being 16 it's sad but for blink they were so glorified by promotion and all that other junk people ignored it.

I miss The Movielife.

I also miss when Blink 182 was together because then there wouldn't be a million threads on Blink 182.

But I really miss The Movielife .

haha and yet green day, the originators of pop-punk in many people's eyes, are still around, as well as a bunch of other "first-wave" pop-punk bands.
it seems kinda weird to call it "first-wave" pop-punk when pop-punk is "third-wave" punk. maybe it's just me.
i guess any non-first-wave pop-punk is garbage like bowling for soup, huh?

aaanyways i love blink now but i never liked them when they were big.
i don't really see them getting back together...two years people.

They were like the first "rock" band I really started getting into. I still have loads of their songs on my iTunes. Not mature enough to delete any of their songs.

2nd on missing the Movielife. So much better.

blink will still always be the masters though. Enema was the $$$$ when it came out.

The first wave of pop-punk that went mainstream I think he means...

And I love blink 182, and probably always will

But unlike most people, I prefered their selt titled (the last album they made).
It was amazing.

Stop living in the past. They're done

And even though they are good, and the definatly were catchy, they won't and never will be "one of the best bands ever."

Pop-punk started with The Ramones.

If anything, Blink are second/third wave pop-punk.
