Speaking of 7-strings, Ibanez hasn't given much love for us who dwell in both lower and higher registers of the guitar: the RG1527 will now cost $1200, and the RG7321 BBS is $130 more expensive (it's ripoff because Schecter puts a Graph Tech nut, a TonePros bridge and uses mahogany body for the C-7, which costs about the same).

EDIT: not to mention that they were the "seven string brand" when Nu-Metal became mainstream.

Heres some pic's of my Ibanez RG 560

What she looked like when I got her...



And what she looked like after I worked my magic... Mahogany stain with ghosted flames, little bit of bevel work, single emg 81 with one volume knob and a rosewood trim ring.






She is designed with one thing in mind and thats the br00talz

it's not just the 7 string models. the entire range has had a 20% price rise (on RRP i think)

I just wish I could get along with Schecter necks as I do with Ibanez necks.

EDIT: I wouldn't be complaining so much if Schecter and Agile weren't the only major competitors.

27 frets. How much higher do you want to go?

I must confess about the lower registers; I don't really care about them. I must be one of the least heavy Ibanez players here. Still, if I wanted tho go 7 string, it'd be nice to have an affordable option.

Anybody else digging the new pickupss on the RG Prestige (Tone Zone, True Velvet, Air Norton)? Should sound beautiful; one of the few guitars whose pickups I probably wouldn't immediately replace. Especially not if I got that awesome one with the yellow pickups

Apparently the Carnifex bassist is massively into Ibanez basses coz their neck is so easy to play! Apparently he plays SR series.

his isn't RGR it's just RG.

I've owned several Ibanez models,but right now the only one I own is a 550R radius model,which is the guitar that all of the Joey Satch sigs are based on.It has the most comfortable body shape I've ever played.

I'm looking into getting a J Custom soon,possibly a 7 string model if I can manage to find one.
