I had to replace some of the wires with longer ones, so I could turn the the switch the right way, and have the tone knob in the middle instead. If you are willing to have the switch the wrong way around, and the volume in the middle, it's very easy, and requires no soldering. |

But they're such good threads. Not only is it fun to look at all the tele pr0n but if someone needs help with something tele related it can most likely be answered by someone in here.

I've got a 2006 reissue '72 Tele Deluxe, and I'm looking to get new pups for it. The "Wide Range" pups that come in it are kind of lackluster. I'm not sure what to look into since its got an alder body, and I don't want something overly bright. Can anyone make any suggestions? I don't have a problem with getting a new pickgaurd for it to accomodate regular humbuckers.

I haven't got a picture, but add me to the alliance! I've got a Tele' standard I bought about 2 1/2 years ago. I love em'. I have other guitars, but nothing really sounds just like a Tele.

Is there a huge tonal difference between the ash teles and the alder teles? I really liked the ash ones i've played so far....

Page's looks like an Ash bodied guitar, so if you want to do the page thing go for that one... I've played every tele at parkway shadman, and I liked the Ash ones the best, I don't know, they were fuller sounding i suppose. |

Does anyone know if there was ever a point and time where Fender had rosewood necks on their Mexican models?

RARE TELE??
Have any of you guys secene/heard/played/etc one of those Fender Japan teles from the early 90s. Basically, it's a thinline, hollowed out, with a piezo pup and a lace sensor in the neck so it's like an electric acoustic guitar, not like a telecoustic (eew). There's one turned up in a shop I can buy, but I won't get to play it first. By the few reports I've found, they're pretty amazing. They made p-basses like them as well.

Is that Frooshies Tele? It looks like it, but then I didn't know he had that bridge cover on it. Can someone tell me how the 2006 Teles are different to the usual MIMs?

If I'm thinking of the right thing, there was one of those on AUS eBay only a few weeks ago. Pretty sure it had some ridiculous price on it but it looked really cool. I have my Black Beauty on eBay now to hopefully create a MIJ Tele fund. I'm quite fond of the MIJs with binding.
