Live he was just unrestrained, his voice just exploded. Check out the mystery white boy or live at l'olympia versions of Dream Brother for the full effect, it's all amazing though.

And make sure you check Sin e, shows so many different dimensions ot his craft, just him and a tele. It's magic.

Amazing amazing amazing guy. Far too young to leave.

Hallelujah is musical bliss. It's the kind of song you could drown in (ironically). I really like Mojo Pin as well, the contrasts in that song are brilliant.

Saw the video for the "new" version of 'Hallelujah' the other night. I can see why it was an outtake.
Really not that nice a version; well, not terrible, but compared to the version on 'Grace' it doesn't really deserve to see the light of day.

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.

Haha, on the Legacy edition of Grace? He rips at his throat a bit though.

The crowd was being a bunch of dicks to him the whole night to play that song.

"Freebird? Stairway to Freebird?"

Anyway, one of the best singer/songwriters/musicians of the modern era. Can't say enough about him. I also can't wait for the Amazing Grace: Jeff Buckley DVD to come out.

It was supposed to come out yesterday, but the release has been delayed.

Here's a link for more info: www.amazinggracejeffbuckley.com

I fell in love (and I mean really in love) with Jeff's music last year and I have pretty much all the CDs and DVDs I can get on his work. I don't know what it is, but his music seems to have a calming effect on me when I listen to it and I am in such awe of his musicianship, songwriting and his singing.....he is just mind blowing.

It's unfair that he will never release anything ever again or I have the chance to see him live.

Its amazing how many people who say they love Jeff, yet have no idea who Leonard Cohen is.

"Grace" is easily one of the best records ever recorded, and one of my all time favorites. Saddens me to think of why all the best have to leave us so early.

^I agree, that prolonged high note he holds towards the end is just absolutely amazing

I think hallelujah is one of the few cases where the cover beats the original by miles

Hallelujah. If that song doesn't make you shiver, you're soulless. Grace, Dream Brother, Eternal Life, Corpus Christi Carol are all goodies off Grace. I don't have Sketches... so I can't reccomend anything from there.
