Yeah, the Santana necks are infamous for being inconveniently fat. I guess it's okay if your hands are the size of dinner plates, but for me, I prefer my SE neck. It's just right. |

Always great to find sister guitars out there. I'd love to see pics one day .Quote:
Thanks for the kind words Steve. I'd love to get my hands on a Cus 24, but all good things in time I guess.

^It's one of their Student Edition models so for that reason it wouldn't necessarily be a higher end PRSi but it's still a good guitar. Not necessarily my bag though bur good nonetheless.

I've been searchbarring and seen a lot of posts saying that low end PRS aren't worth it but mid range and high priced guitars are. Is the tremonti SE one of the ones that is "low end"

Well for me the SE line its hit or miss. I'm not big on the SE Singlecut models in general yet I absolutely love the SE Custom. So the Tremonti being not worth it would be up to you depending on what you want exactly. Are you second guessing the hardware, electronics, overall build quality, etc? To me most of the SE models are totally worth it if its what your interested in. The build quality on these guitars are usually great and the hardware is fine for most people but at this price point a lot of users mod their SE's in one way or another. As for electronics I am not inclined to give a non biased answer here since there are very few guitars that I have owned that I don't change the wiring harness on. Now if its the case of wanting a high end guitar and feeling you are cheaping out or something along those lines I say save your cash and buy a high end PRSi. Chances are if you get the SE you'll enjoy it for the time you have it but you'll still find yourself wanting a US model. Save yourself the trouble and money and go with an American model. Hopefully I helped some.

Next guitar is probably going to be a Custom 24 or a SC250, in trans black or dark cherry, with the birds of course.
Just can't decide between those shapes. I love both, but part of me wants a PRS for what it classically is (with the Strat-ish shape) but the other just loves the SC body. |

I own a couple of PRSs. I just made a post about one of my new PRS acquisitions. Click on the link in my signature to see the PRSs that I own. I love their guitars and think that not only do they lok great, but they sound beautiful!

Can anybody tell me about the trem on the SE SC? When I used it, it didn't screw in, was fairly loose, and was easy to take out and put in, is this normal? I'm very interested in the guitar but I'm just wondering if this is normal or not. Also, does the trem arm come with the black cap on the end of it as shown on the PRS website?
