JEM - That's a great Strat.

As you know the pickups are connected to the scratch plate, can you get a HH pick guard or is there not enough room in the cavity?

What about HHH?

Just wondering.

I like the 2 pickup strat kinda in a way reminds me of SRV one pickup guitar.

Here's some pics of my 2012 ash body fender special run.

All MIM Strats of that era are routed HSH if I remember correctly. Fender only does the swimming pool route on specific reissues these days, that's the only way you could get an HHH.

I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm a Strat purist. It's gotta have three single coils, a white three-ply pickguard, a one-piece maple neck, one volume and two tone controls but no tone for the bridge pickup, the truss rod mounted at the base of the neck, a vintage style Synchronized Tremolo bridge with bent saddles, and say Fender on the headstock.

Now, let me up load some pics of my twin HB, no pickguard, FR-equipped Charvel San Dimas Stratocaster...

(Sarcasm, guys, sarcasm.)

Glad you dig the strat, dudes

Mephaphil, as far as routing goes, mine's HSS, so no HH or HHH, barring getting busy with a router.

just picked up a white MIM 1992 Strat. took it apart and verified it was correct and polished it out. Just need to micro adjust the string saddles to get the buzz out (set it really low). It is white with purple triple layer pick guard. Really nice player. I am thinking about picking up one of those mighty mite loaded pick guards with some beefy pickups but maybe not. Really love the guitar, gonna start saving up for a MIA or MIJ strat

This is my new iPad wallpaper

This guy I know has a 3 humbucker stratocaster, it's pretty cool, though they are mini-humbuckers.

MIM or american? The only strats I know of with a swimming pool route that would be compatible with HHH are blacktop strats. And I'm not even sure if it's standard on them.

Yea I have a American. I was just wondering. I like to have options is all, I wouldn't start cutting into the body or anything.
