A question for you good people!

The MIM Classic 50s strat( Surf green) are those routed for SSS or HSS?

I want to buy one and rip everything out and put a HSS config on it, but if its routed for SSS i wont bother.

Figured I'd post some pics of my strats in here. 9 times out of 10 when I pick up a guitar it is a strat, I love them nothing beats the feel and sound of them. Although I have many other kinds of guitars, a strat just fits what I'm doing most of the time.

First up is my classic vibe 50's. Recently swapped out the pickups to a set of rose hermosa pickups and put in a new tremolo with full sized block, sounds fantastic.

Next is a vintage modified surf strat that pretty much did the same thing to the 50's. threw a set of rose mariposa pickups and new bridge. I liked the lipstick pickups that was in it but I just wanted to try something else.

And this is my first strat I ever got, it was the first guitar I really started to experiment with wiring and such. I decided to throw the surf strat's lipstick pickups in there and I really like the results.

Last but not least is an old SX strat copy I got a while back and decided to refinish it and turn it into A Gilmour strat. I took the pickups from the classic vibe strat and put on it, still have to finish wiring the mini switch and buff the finish out some more but its almost there.

Black on Black with white electronics is pure class. Gilmour had it right.

On that picture of the headstock for the Strat, what is that hole for? There is a tubular hole. I was just wondering what it was called and what is it for?

A very old, very shitty picture of my Charvel Strat. I miss playing it sometimes. I need to replace a saddle on the bridge and then I'll be good to do

I bet that thing would scream with some Area 51's in there.

My Charvel?

I was thinking about putting an Area 67 in the middle, and Injectors in the Bridge and Neck.

Paul Gilbert style

Dat too.

I want to get another Legacy and drop some SD Hot Rails in it. I'm probably going to end up with Lace Sensor Golds in my current one.

Question, what bridge should I put into my Charvel. It needs a new one, bad. It's a tremolo bridge, kinda like a normal Strat, 2 point trem I believe? Not sure, I'll look later.

Any brands to look at? I've heard ghood things about Wilkinson

My favorite aftermarket Strat trem is the Super-Vee.
