I dunno, other than that weird D chord in the intro its pretty simple. Maybe intermediate but I wouldn't call it advanced. Quote:
Yeah definately, I learned that after 5 months of playing guitar and I've worked on that off an on and I've been playing for a year and a half now and I'm just starting to get it down. I think a lot of Hendrix stuff is intermediate (Little Wing, Bold as Love, Castles Made of Sand) |

Snow hey oh is definatly an intermediate to advanced song. I've been practising it for about 3 months off and on and i'm just getting it down now. The riff is simple the speed however is not. Especially if your not used to alternate picking. That is the 1st song i learned using alternate picking so yes it was pretty difficult.

Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Öyster Cult
Kind of hard to stay in time and the "solos" are a bit difficult but with determination it can be done. Chicks dig it too. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs..._reaper_tab.htm

ARGGGGG JOHN FRUSCIANTE Little Wing-Jimi Hendrix Curious Coincidence-Kristofer Dahl p.s. Snow is not a hard song practice the main riff for an hour or two (with a metronome ) and you should start sounding up to speed

that's a low intermediate but very good for transitioning guitarists. and for my input, Slow Cheetah by RHCP is a great song with complex picking patterns. most RHCP songs can be played by intermediates, it's the layering that makes it sound really hard. also Another Day by dream theater.

I second this. Actually, I don't think the solos are all THAT hard, once you get past the bending in the last solo. I also second Master of Puppets. EDIT: And I bloody forgot my own nominations. xD Comfortably Numb, by Pink Floyd is a must. Wonderful bending, alternate picking, phrasing, improv, and sometimes speed playing exercise. Another Brick in the Wall Pt 2, also by Pink Floyd is a great bending exercise. Jimi Hendrix is always good. Crazy Train, to get that tapping and speed technique down pat.

The Yard Birds - Jeffs Boogie - Intermediate
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Scuttle Buttin - Intermediate to Advanced Charlie Parker - Billies Bounce - Intermediate Wes Montgomery - Grooveyard - Intermediate to Advanced For some more advanced playing try some fusion style playing (Robben Ford, John Scottfield, Allan Holdsworth or Scott Henderson) or bebob (Dizzy Gillespie or Charlie Parker) Fusion uses alot of outside notes and can sound strange but cool and bebop is has REALLY fast tempos |
