Just listened to it, is it me or does Anders' voice sound really weird in the 'I clench you' parts?

^^ yeah, I totally agree with you on that, plus on songs, his voice just sounds like whiny. his voice has gotten much worse imo.

Their one of the bands that really inspire me (mainly from their old stuff). I have to say that their new stuff isn't THAT bad but its nowhere near as good as the old. Hmm... I really don think we'll ever see old In Flames again. The main thing that bugs me is why the **** did Anders change his ****ing vocals? I loved it when he almost growled in the past now it kind of just annoyes me.

Jesper Stromblad is a pretty versatile guy. Talented guitarist (not liking IF's newer stuff so much, but whatever), played drums as a founding member of Hammerfall, plays in Dimension Zero (good band), bass in Ceremonial Oath, and whatever else he's done.

You haven't heard an epic song until you've seen In Flames live, and they play Colony.
Theres something about how they do that song live that just screams, "Holy ****". I'd suggest finding some videos on youtube. Look for one in Umea. Or there Used and Abused DVD one. Sweden's pride, and one of our biggest musical exports.
 They won a Swedish grammy for that, actually, but Anders kinda ruined the moment by being totally shitfaces when accepting the reward. It was so embarrasing I couldn't finnish watching the clip.  |

the vocal thing bugs me as well, he does the growl sometimes live, like at Rock am Ring in Leeches but yeah... i haven't heard much old stuff only a couple of clips off youtube and December flower, which album?? Jester Race?? whoracle?? colony?? tell me ppl,

New dead Eternity is better than Old IMO. dont like Regain records, neither do In Flames. Though I have to admit I own Lunar and Subterranean new versions because of the glory of them. I am thinking of buying the originals someday. Maybe I was wrong about michael stanne writing the lyrics, but someone from his band did anyway. And what happened with the connection with IF and DT? it used to be so cool the way the Götheborg bands cooperated, now they have no connection at all -.-
