hmm melodys can be challenging i guess. i just fool around with my guitar until i come up with something that sounds cool.

you cant rush it though, so dont get frustrated.

writing lyrics under a riff is difficult. i just invented a riff today, got my friend with a bass line, and even developed something for the piano. its a pretty dark melody, i need something dark, but real to work with, but i don't want to let all of this good material go!

Lyrics are fun to write its just what the music sounds like. Like for my I need to listen to the song (without anything else. just the guitar and crap) a couple times. And soon lyrics pop in my head. Try to have fun with it. Try to fit it with the music your listening to/genre of your choice.
